Thanksgiving Post!!!

There are literally tons of things I am thankful for this evening. Yes, I am writing this post at night on Thanksgiving.....alone! lol! Two of those things are my blog and its readers. Even though it has been a while since I have last posted something, I am thankful for it because I am able to share important and life-changing experiences with my subscribers. For example, my most recent cartooning update is that I received word of an amazing internship opportunity through Cartoon Network. The requirements are not demanding, and it will give me an opportunity to go back to school for something that I really love. Whenever someone has great news they want to share and relish in the excitement that others can offer a special situation. That's why I am thankful for my readers and their comments. "Y'all so specia!!" lol!

The next thing I am thankful for, and I promise to keep it short, is the achievement I am experiencing along my journey toward medical school. I can't remember the last time I received so much success for the work that I put forth. Surprisingly, the work that I am doing is being done with very little effort because I am passionate about what I'm doing. My passion has blessed me with the highly sought after secondary applications that put me in the home stretch of my journey. Now all I have to do is take the MCAT and submit my scores. Then I am in!

Well, until next time ladies and gentlemen!

Tuesday - Day 54

The one thing that I promised myself and my readers at the beginning of this blog was a substantial (or meaningful) post everyday. Well, I have to apologize because I fell short in putting up a daily discussion topic, sketch, or video. However, I hope the substance of my posts so far has made up for that. For example, today I can tell you that I have some juicy news about a friend of mine (that is not incriminating to her....lol!) that will encourage and amaze.

Imagine yourself torn between two worlds. The first world is one that meets your needs and treats you nicely but has become commonplace in terms of existence. The second world is slightly newer and promises greater fulfillment in every area of your life. Which world do you choose? For the sake of confidentiality I will say that I am happy my friend is choosing the newer world.

Here is the amazing part. She is now owner of her own website, which hosts a pretty darn (excuse the language kids, lol!) interesting blog about her life as a working mom. How do I know? Well, just take my word for it...................

Ok, ok, as a man I read it! GET OFF MY BACK ALREADY!!! THE BLOG IS FREAKIN' INTERESTING!! LOL!!!

No, but seriously, check out www.krystalgrant.com and read it for yourself. Then open another tab in your internet browser and type in www.edutoons.blogspot.com and come back here for an cartoon video break you will enjoy!

Take it easy people!

PS Spongebob is taking his dear sweet time, but check again tomorrow, and he should be here!

Friday "Forty Days & Nights Sermon, lol!" - Day 40

I thought today would be a good day to post a unoriginal pun for my title as well as a lengthy explanation of my progress, instead of a picture. Besides, I forgot my digital camera at school (dumb place to leave it) and cannot upload any pictures. Now, on to the explanation! Let us remenisce on the story of the Israelites who traveled or should I say wondered in the desert for 40 years because of their bull-headedness towards God's instructions. Let us also not forget the story of Noah and the ark. You know the one with the flood that lasted, you guessed it, 40 days and nights.

Now, let us remember how the people in both stories felt when they finally finished their 40 year periods. THEY CELEBRATED (or were really happy and got busy filling the Earth with babies as the story of Noah and his peeps so lovingly concludes). Me, I am just excited that I have finally pulled my head out of my rear and am busy pursuing my dream as a cartoonist. If there was ever any slither of doubt (the worst kind, right?) for those you debating the start of your own passionate journey, trust me. Just start! You will be so happy you did. I have run into so many helpful people and situations that now I see myself accopmplishing my goals maybe even years sooner than I originally thought possible. This is all coming from a person who, just two years ago, discovered that he could draw!

Some of you have been at your craft and passion for years and are really good at it. Keep following this blog and you will see how possible it is to reach everyone of your goals with just a little desire and consistency.

Stay up people!
